As an internet marketer you’ll probably be looking for quick ways to provide information to the customer or potential customer as quickly as you can. What you’re going to have to decide though, is whether you want to buy content that is PLR or MRR. You have to understand why these two are so different so that you can make an informed choice as to which one to use in your business.
Your choice will come down to why you need the content. For example, if you want to sell a digital product which can then be on-sold by your customers, master resell rights content is your best choice.
However, MRR products will usually not allow you to change the content at all. So, if you want to put your name on it, add your own affiliate links, or change the content in any way, PLR content would be the best choice.
The main difference in how PLR and MRR files are delivered is that PLR gives you .doc files that you can edit, alter and paste links into. For example, a PLR eBook can be broken up into articles and, alternatively, PLR articles can be combined to produce an eBook. Individual articles can be used as chapters or sections.
Master Resell Rights content however may permit you to put your name down as the author of the content, but that’s about all you can get as far as modification goes. The use and reselling of the content is extremely limited. The license will have more details on this, but if your intent is to resell you probably won’t like what it says.
When it comes to choosing between PLR and MRR products, it comes down to what you want to use it for. If you plan to distribute an eBook so that it goes viral and generates traffic to your website, then the best option is PLR. MRR licenses tend to be a lot more restrictive in how they can be distributed, priced and altered.
However, if the Master Resell Rights license allows you to use the content as a free bonus, a high quality re-branded MRR product is an easy, low-cost way to market your online business.
Regardless, if you wish to be able to use your content freely then you should definitely go with PLR. PLR is also cheaper than MMR in most cases, and gives a quick way to assemble some eBooks. Even though you’re not the actual author, you can say that you are, and use it however you want. Not a bad bargain if I may say so.
